About Me

My name is Nicola Martin and I am a fully trained and qualified Podiatrist/Chripodist. I graduated from The University of Plymouth In July 2010, obtaining a degree in Podiatry, and have been working as a mobile Chiropodist/Podiatrist ever since.

I am also a full member of The Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists.

What I do

Podiatry/Chiropody is involved in diagnosing and treating various ailments of the foot and ankle. These may be due to the biomechanics of the foot, which involves how the foot functions and the alignments of structures within the foot and ankle. Problems in the foot may also arise due to systemic disorders, such as Rheumatoid Arthritis, Diabetes or Osteoarthritis.

They may also be due to footwear, footshape, lifestyle or injury.

Advice and Treatments given on all foot problems including:

  • Callousities (hard skin)
  • Corns
  • Ingrown toenails
  • Thickened toenails
  • Fungal nail/skin conditions
  • Painful feet
  • Biomechanical problems, such as sprains, aches or generalised pain in the foot
  • Diabetic foot care
  • Footwear and Footcare advice

I also carry diabetic assessments and biomechanical assessments, providing insoles or cushioning devices when needed.

All equipment used is of the highest quality and all instruments used are single use, so clients recieve the highest level of footcare in a hygienic and sanitary way.

I base my business on the belief that my customers' needs are of the utmost importance and I am committed to meeting those needs. As a result, a high percentage of my business is from repeat customers and word of mouth referrals.
